Ashford Photography & Films presents The Laurel High Tornadoes Graduation featuring Rah’maud Vaughn. This film was commissioned by Rah’maud’s mother Denise Green (Mz. Bring Em Bac). You could see the joy in his face as he was greeted by cheers when he entered the stadium! Rah’maud is a special needs child, but he wasn’t born that way. At age 5 he began to have unexplainable strokes. Eventually, he was diagnosed with a rare Japanese illness called Moya Moya. Rah’maud is the only African-American to ever be diagnosed with this disease to date. Nevertheless, Rah’maud was and continues to be a fighter! Despite all of the odds and the obstacles in his way, today Rah’maud, along with the rest of his class, is receiving his High School diploma! This can be a lesson to all of us that no matter what you face in life, and no matter what the circumstances, never let them hold you back! Congratulations to Rah’maud and the entire Class of 2019!
